It’s been years since I’ve taken the stage behind the turntables. These days I get my thrill from speaking at conferences.
Recently I was given the opportunity to moderate a panel at the She’s Connected Conference in Toronto. She’s Connected is a social media conference that connects brands with influential digital women.
My panel was about content calendar creation and content management. It featured the Stephanie Abouatallah, manager of Social Media & Consumer Generated Content at Canadian Tire; Tonia Hammer, Social Media manager at Moslon Coors Canada; Heather Travis, director of Public Relations at Canada Beef; Paulina Zelazny, Social Media & Communications specialist Toshiba of Canada Limited; and writer, social media consultant and community manager Marci O’Connor.
In our presentation we talked about the importance of having a content calendar, how far in advance you should prepare your calendar, what types of content works best, and the different tools for publishing.
Everyone on the panel was great. A really smart group of individuals and it was honour to share the stage with them. Overall I really enjoyed the conference and I am looking forward to #SCCTO13.
